Seductive aromas of mineral, pear and
apple open up to a mouth-filling mid-palate swimming with tropical fruit flavors and hints of spice. While full and viscous in the mouth, this wine is punctuated with a bright natural acidity which makes for a long clean finish.
Our Gris is more stylistically allied with its Alsatian cousin than its Italian relative, Pinot Grigio. Fifteen percent sur lie fermentation in neutral French oak imparts a roundness that the more austere Grigios lack. Now the acknowledged partner with Salmon here on the West Coast, this Gris’ acidity and vibrant flavors enhance meals from Chinese tea smoked quail to linguine with clam sauce.
